We publish a weekly newsletter covering a multitude of subjects, on Fridays. We will always have a religious article of some type. It will have tidbits of information about Flags and etc., articles on the family, computer tips, editorials, some humor, famous quotations, as well as information from guest writers. It will also be "sprinkled" with some advertising.

Our regular edition is mailed on Friday evenings.  It is mailed to approximately 3300 subscribers.  We also send out an edition on Tuesdays, which is strictly advertising.  Should you not be interested in our ads, just merely delete that edition.  Please remember that anyone publishing this type of messages must be reimbursed somehow, therefore the advertising.

You can read one of our editions below!

Register here for this newsletter so that we can keep you updated on all of our subjects!

Editor's Remarks

=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=

Today is my lovely wife's Birthday! I have had her for over 55 years, so I have decided that it was time that I took her out for dinner, to celebrate (GRIN)!...She still thinks that “she is sweet 16 and never been kissed” (two grins)!!

We have been listening to the snow reports from around the country! The Reno, NV area has a lot and the northeast has gotten more than their share, but have you heard about Wolf Creek Pass in Southern Colorado? They have well over 22 feet of snow, and it is snowing right now!

Tis' snowing and blowing here in Colorado Springs, as I write this! We still have not had any snow to speak of, since mid December. It snows and we only get a trace to a couple of inches. I wish it would snow at least a foot, so we could get some good moisture out of it!

Spring is just around the corner, and I can hardly wait!

You people really baffle me! I hear from a few of you telling me, “Please don't quit sending your newsletters! We enjoy them so much!

If this is so, how come we hear from so few of you? From the few that we have heard from, it really is not worth our efforts!

I know that we are read in twenty-two different countries. So how about each of you sending us a one liner email, and tell us where you are reading us from. Or how much snow you have on the ground! Is that two much to ask? I don't think so!

>>----------------------------==========<(*)>==========----------------------------<<

News Boy's News Edition is published on Fridays and the Sassy A^ds Reporter published on Tuesdays. A Solow A^d may appear at any time. Please remember! My Tuesday edition and Solo A^ds are all paid ad^vertising. Should you not want to read them, just delete them. If you un^sub^scribe, you will be u^sub^scribing to my Friday newsletter as well and you will be wiped off of my mailing list entirely. I certainly - do not - want that to happen!

Please note: There is a major change in the following paragraph. Everyone must comply!

P.S. Please take a minute to "whitelist" my email address (rkeithrice@msn.com) so you'll be sure that all News Boy's News information doesn't end up in a junk mail or spam folder. All you need to do is add this email address to your "contact or address list" and you'll be all set.

A Love Story

One day I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Ah the beauty of God's creation is beyond description. As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful work. As I sat there, I felt the Lord's presence with me.
He asked me, "Do you love me?"

I answered, "Of course, God! You are my Lord and Saviour!"

Then He asked, "If you were physically handicapped, would you still love me?"

I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs, and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I wouldn't be able to do, the things that I took for granted.

And I answered, "It would be tough Lord, but I would still love You."

Then the Lord said, "If you were blind, would you still love my creation?" How could I love something without being able to see it? Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and how many of them still loved God and His creation.

So I answered, "It's hard to think of it, but I would still love you."

The Lord then asked me, "If you were deaf, would you still listen to My Word?" How could I listen to anything being deaf?

Then I understood. Listening to God's Word is not merely using our ears, but our hearts.

I answered, "It would be tough, but I would still listen to Your word."

The Lord then asked, "If you were mute, would you still praise My Name?"

How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to me: God wants us to sing from our very hearts and souls. It doesn't matter what we sound like. And praising God is not always with a song, but when we are persecuted, we give God praise with our words of thanks.

So I answered, "Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise Your Name."

And the Lord asked, "Do you really love Me?"

With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly, "Yes, Lord! I love You, because You are the one and true God!"

I thought I had answered well, but God asked, "Then why do you sin?"

I answered, "Because I am only human. I am not perfect."

"Then why in times of peace do you stray the furthest? Why only in times of trouble do you pray the earnest?"

No answers. Only tears.

The Lord continued: "Why only sing at fellowships and retreats? Why seek Me only in times of worship? Why ask things so selfishly? Why ask things so unfaithfully?"

The tears continued to roll down my cheeks.

"Why are you ashamed of Me? Why are you not spreading the good news? Why in times of persecution do you cry to others when I offer My shoulder to cry on? Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in My Name?"

I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give.

"You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve Me, but you continue to turn away. I have revealed My Word to you, but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you but your ears were closed. I have shown My blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away. I have sent you servants, but you sat idly by as they were pushed away. I have heard your prayers, and I have answered them all."

"Do you truly love Me?"

I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief. I had no excuse. What could I say to this? My heart had cried out and the tears had flowed. I said, "Please forgive me, Lord. I am unworthy to be Your child."

The Lord answered, "That is My Grace, My child."

I asked, "Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do You love me so?"

The Lord answered, "Because you are My creation. You are My child. I will never abandon you. When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you. When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you. When you are down, I will encourage you. When you fall, I will raise you up. When you are tired, I will carry you. I will be with you 'til the end of days, and I will love you forever."

Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been so cold? How could I have hurt God as I had done?

I asked God, "How much do You love me?"

The Lord stretched out His arms, and I saw His nail-pierced hands. I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my Saviour. And for the first time, I truly prayed.

"ABIDE IN ME!"

I John 1:28-29

"And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him."

In the mid-eighteen hundreds, Henry F. Lyte  pastored a seashore church in Lower Brixham, Devonshire England, among the rough sailors and uncultured villagers.  He had served faithfully for many years and was dearly loved by his parishioners.  He in turn had a deep love for them.

He developed tuberculosis and became increasingly weak.  He was sickly and unwell most of the time. As his health continued to decline his doctor advised him to spend time in sunny southern Europe in the hope that the change in weather might improve his condition.  It was with a broken heart that he stood before his weeping people and delivered his final sermon as their pastor.

That evening he was watching as the sun began to set in the west.  As the light of day began to fade, Mr. Lyte took note and related it to his own life that was slipping away.  This beloved hymn of comfort and trust was written by a pastor who knew what it was to have confidence in what lay ahead for him.

The next day, he left for Italy to regain his health. He didn't make it, though-he died in Nice, France, three weeks after writing these words. Here is an excerpt from his farewell sermon: "O brethren, I stand here among you today, as alive from the dead, if I may hope to impress it upon you, and induce you to prepare for that solemn hour which must come to all, by a timely acquaintance with the death of Christ."

"ABIDE WITH ME"

"Abide with me, Fast falls the eventide; The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide;

When other helpers fail, and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me!

Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;Earth's joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;O Thou who changest not, abide with me.

I need Thy presence every passing hour. What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless; Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory? I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.

Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes; Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies. Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee; In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me."

What more can I say in response to these wonderful words of hope and promise except to earnestly pray:  "O Lord, abide with me!"

Blessings dear hearts. Walk with God today.  Trust Him completely and be a blessing.

Christianity is not a Destination it is a Journey

"For even I, the Messiah, am not here to be served, but to help others, and to give my life

as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45 (TLB)

As Christians our responsibility is to be Christ like. Jesus is not only our redeemer but He is a living example as to how we should live our life. When the world observes our actions and deeds, they should see a glimpse of Jesus.

Christ was crucified, buried and arose from the grave, then ascended into Heaven. He paved the way for our eventual entrance into Heaven. Our responsibility is to believe upon Jesus, seek forgiveness, desire a personal relationship with Him, then profess our faith and strive to be Christ-like.

Being a Christian is more than an arrival at our final destination. Christianity should be a wonderful, enjoyable journey, not only of redemption but of growth, witnessing and service.

In His life and death Jesus showed love with His deeds of teaching, healing compassion and sacrifice. He was concerned for and loved mankind. Jesus was not concerned with what he had to wear, eat or a home to live. He did though provide for the hungry, and was concerned for people's needs.

Jesus walked among sinners, but loved them without loving their sin. He was kind to them even when they persecuted Him.

Jesus washed the feet of His disciples without expecting them to do the same for Him.

Christ labored with His hands and His heart as He lived, worked and traveled for the short time He lived upon this earth. He healed, loved, cared for and was concerned about people's physical as well as their spiritual well being.

God gave His Son to a sin-filled world, and even allowed the world to take His life, in order that man could know a love like no other love. A love that could not only forgive sin, but forget we even committed them. God also sent Jesus as an example to teach us how we should love, forgive, provide, witness and serve others.

The Bible shows us how Jesus lived, His goodness, and mercy, His love and compassion. It gives us directions and instructions as to how we should live.

We Christians have a responsibility above and beyond seeking forgiveness for our sins. We are to walk the walk, and talk the talk. We are to show the world that we desire to mimic the goodness of Christ. We are not only to love others, but to show that love.

When people observe you, do they see the hands, feet and heart of Jesus? When you reveal what your heart contains, do they see the kind of love Jesus had for people? When they hear you speak, do they hear Jesus talking? When people see what you are doing and the places you are going, do they see the works and behavior of Jesus? Are you helping and serving others as Jesus did?

Yes, Christianity is not a destination it is a journey with responsibilities. We as Christians should never forget that we may be the only Bible some people read.

Is Church Attendance Important?

Hebrews 10:25 ~ Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

A pastor heard that one of his parishioners was going about announcing to one and all that he would no longer attend church services.

This rebellious parishioner was advancing the familiar argument that he could communicate with God just as easily out in the fields with nature as his setting for worship.

One winter evening, the pastor called on this reluctant member of his flock for a friendly visit. The two men sat before the fireplace making small talk, but studiously avoiding the issue of church attendance. After a while, the pastor took the tongs from the rack next to the fireplace and pulled a single coal from the fire. He placed the glowing ember on the hearth. As the two watched in silence, the coal quickly ceased burning and turned an ashen gray, while the other coals in the fire continued to burn brightly.

The pastor's silent message was not lost on the parishioner. After a long pause, he turned to the pastor and said "I'll be back at services next Sunday."

Woman was created from the rib of man,

She was not made from his head to top him,

Nor out of his feet to be trampled upon.

But out of his side, to be equal to him,
